Beauty and the Beast Unit Boss Guide: Weaknesses, Patterns, No-Kill Tactics
How to read Laughing Octopus, Raging Raven, Crying Wolf, and Screaming Mantis with lethal and non-lethal strategies.
The two-phase rule
Every Beauty and the Beast encounter has a combat phase and a human phase. Lower the beast shell first, then change tactics immediately when the body is exposed.
- Keep the Solid Eye active to separate boss movement from decoys.
- Use stun damage for a no-kill run and avoid explosive splash near civilians.
- Heal before the human phase so the close-range grab cannot snowball.
Screaming Mantis: break the puppet control
Mantis is solved by observation more than firepower. Find the correct target, keep moving, and use the environment to create distance while the dolls are active.
Rewards and rank impact
Non-lethal clears preserve the boss weapon rewards and support a cleaner Big Boss rank route. If you are collecting emblems, read the requirements before choosing your damage type.
